Frank Meisenbach Scholarship
East Lake RCD established this $500 scholarship in 2012 in memory of Frank Meisenbach, a long term East Lake Board member, community leader and farmer who had a special interest and passion for educating youth about the natural resources of Lake County. This scholarship will continue that legacy with one or more annual awards to deserving students who have an interest in natural resources, agriculture, environmental sciences or a related field. recipients, photos, and more

Field Days in the Creek

East Lake annually hosts this half-day of outdoor learning and exploration for elementary school students on Putah Creek. photos of the the 2014 event

Trout in the Classroom
The Trout in the Classroom allows elementary school students to raise trout from eggs to fry, and release them in nearby streams - with lots of learning along the way. details about the program, with photos from 2014

Annual Invasive Weed Tours
The RCD is an active participant in Lake County's Weed Management Area, and helps conduct the WMA's annual Invasive Weed Tour. The July 22, 2014 event was the 10th to be held, and the first to be held at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park. photos and more
